  • Marsha Jane Reynolds, 75, of Hot Springs Village, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on February 9, 1942 to Harold and Ruth Lindsay Weaver.

    Marsha was an avid quilter and enjoyed being a member of the Hot Springs Quilters Guild. She also found great fun in playing “games of chance.” Her funny, sweet, honest, and caring personality drew people to her and she was a friend to everyone who knew her.

    She is preceded in death by her parents.

    Marsha is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Reynolds; her sons, Donald Ray Rowe Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, Randal Rowe and wife, Honor, Dr. Brent Reynolds and wife, Keri; her daughter, Jill Smith; eight grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.

    The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Marsha’s name to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org, and Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org.

    My deepest sympathy. I know I haven’t seen any of you in several years, but still think of you often. Sandy and I inevitably come up with an IDC story when we get together, especially if adult beverages are involved!

    I’m one of Marsha’s Texas Quilting Buddies, and we will all miss her so much! Besides sewing together every week since about 2001, we would do twice a year quilt retreats, and Marsha was always the life of the party! She danced, she made us laugh, and she was so proud of her family. We felt like we knew all of you so well, because she would regal us with stories about you. I know you had a special relationship with her, and that will NEVER end! I feel so blessed to have had Marsha in my life. I am her “Mormon” friend, and she was one of my most cherished buddies! Marsha, we will miss you so much, but when we get together as Quilting Buddies, we know you will be there in spirit....

    Very sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort from the words at Psalms 147:3 that says; "He is healing the broken hearted ones and is binding up their painful spots." God as the hearer of prayer will comfort you in the days ahead as you remember Ms. Reynolds.
